I need one arcimoto that has one huge glass headlight in the middle, a front seat that reclines so I can take a nap, no radio or bells and whistles, I have a cellphone. I need tires that I can get somewhere locally perhaps used. I like skinny tires to cut through snow. I don't mind Jeep rag doors with zippers. I don't want fancy seat fabric, I can diy that.

I don't want added junk that inflates the price but I do like glass headlight. Or the frame designed for diy lightbar Installation

Preemptive thread to document my purchase/delivery experience.

For background, I placed my $100 pre-order deposit back in April 2011, back when it was still the "Arcimoto SRK". Later determined I had pre-order number 19.

Decided not to spend the "OMG, HOW much?" for a Signature Series in 2017 (but hey, great on you Creative Guy and PAX for doing so and helping finalize the design!) so waited for full retail delivery.

Because I'm in the right area, I was offered an Evergreen slot in February 2019, and I put down my $5000. I selected "Custom Shop" design/paint.  Because of people either not in the right area for Evergreen and/or choosing not to buy the more expensive Evergreen, I have Evergreen order number 4.

In early June 2019, I was contacted to work with their graphic design team on my design.  Got it finalized by mid-June.

At the retail launch event in September 2019, I spoke with a few employees, but wasn't able to get any firm information on when mine would be done.

As of today, September 24 2019, I have a few answers.

Yes, the Signature Series vehicles were officially recalled, so they are all being replaced with full-production hardware from the front of the line. Then there was a corporate partnership. that had its vehicles recalled that need replacing, too.  So as of 9/24, the due date for Evergreen #4 is "about two weeks, mid-October."

The hard doors (which are to contain an integral part of my custom design,) are still not finalized. I was offered the choice of delaying delivery until the doors are ready, taking delivery without the doors and getting them when they are ready, or "downgrading" to soft doors, and the hard doors would be a cost-add purchase later.  I chose to go with the soft doors (which are black fabric,) instead of waiting or having no doors to start.  I'll likely then wait until the full (hard) doors are available to get the finished design.

I'll keep this thread up to date through my delivery process, and with later developments (like the doors.)

I know at the event, his replacement Evergreen was still "on the assembly line" but looked basically finished - and he just tweeted out:

I don't know my original $100 pre-order number because I never bothered to ask. It was in Nov 2017, so I assumed I was somewhere around 2000.

Without HOV access, it was taking me 1 - 1.5 hours one way for 20 miles. With various carpooling attempts, they always fell apart after a few months. So in 2015, I bought a 2015 Nissan LEAF purely for commuting purposes. HOV access reduced my commute to 45 - 60 minutes. It was not for the environment, since I used 98% renewable diesel HPR while electricity is still at least half from fossil fuels.


In 2017, I found out California was changing the HOV sticker rule. Instead of extending all the stickers to beyond 2019, due to overcrowding of the HOV lanes, starting in 2018, new clean air vehicles only get 3 years in the HOV lane and old stickers would expire at the end of 2018. So I began my search for alternatives (because I refused to support the car lobbyists who encouraged this really environmentally unfriendly law that supports leasing a new car every 3 years) and found the wonderful world of trikes. I liked the FUV the most so I put my pre-order in (front wheel drive, handlebars instead of steering wheel, 2 passengers, all electric).

In fall 2018, I signed up to take the California Motorcycle Safety Program, sold my LEAF, and tried public transit. Door to door ended up to be 1.5 hours, but I could relax and do other things. I was happy and didn't even take the CMSP until spring of 2019, where I dislocated my thumb during the evaluation portion (released the clutch too much trying to keep balanced in slow speed maneuvers and was told I popped a 3 foot wheelie).

I would have happily waited for a non-Evergreen edition but in January 2019, I found out my work was moving to a new location that is 2 miles from public transit in October. So when Arcimoto emailed me about the Evergreen in March (a month after the Evergreen orders were opened), I jumped on it. Despite the June date, I expected mine to be at least August or later. Now it looks like it will be in November. Luckily, my move date was postponed to December.

I ordered a custom color Fuchsia on the standard vinyl layout, I just fell in love with the color in the poll. In my head, I've already nicknamed it FUFU (FUchsia FUv)

I have it on good authority that the first FUV deliveries will *NOT* be handed off at the event, but possibly soon after.

I have not heard any mention of ABS brakes on the FUV although it should have them. What I was wondering is if the re-gen braking, since it most likely involves the computer, has any ABS capability? I would expect that, at least for the front wheels, acceleration and decelleration would have anti slip/spin features controlled by the computer. Can anyony from AMP shed some light?

In reading between the pictures (and lines), it sounds like the sled passed and the 6th set of blinkers are getting tested, possibly on Friday.
