Well, as I’ve told my wife I won’t buy any more FUV stock for a bit all I can do as we hit new lows today (any thoughts on why?) is write this post and try not to check the stock every few minutes.

Test Ride Tour Curiosity |

I got my Washington State three-wheel endorsement a couple of weeks ago, and I was thinking about it today. I thought that although I'm pretty eager to get into an FUV, that's a pretty substantial hoop to jump through first. This may be a big stumbling block to the FUV's success in Washington.
That got me thinking that the three-wheel endorsement is likely necessary even for a test ride in this state. Which led me to my eureka moment, "Oh, so that's why they don't do test rides here!" (Actually, I don't know if that's true, just my conjecture.)
So here's my question: If you've done a test ride outside of Oregon, what kind of license was required in your state?

What’s up? I’m a resident of Salem OR where I work for the state. I’m super passionate about EVs and I’m too poor for a Tesla. I’m looking for a daily commuter that will mostly stay in town (6-12 miles a day) and I plan to try and go no doors since we don’t get a lot of snow or ice. We’ll see. I’ve test driven an FUV and I have every intention of buying one as soon as they will sell me one.
I love to debate (read: argue) but it’s rarely personal. I’m just an opinionated jerk. Let me know if I’m going too crazy and I’ll simmer down. I’m here to learn things I didn’t know about Arcimoto and the FUV and mingle with like minded individuals. I’m also a shareholder and I intend to ride this baby to $100 or zero, but preferably something closer to the former.

Good news, Oregon purchasers! DEQ trying to include in incentive! |

I recently emailed the contact at the DEQ for the Oregon Clean Vehicle Program, and she pointed me to an update the DEQ is trying to get done that would include 3-wheel EVs! The way the law is written, only 4-wheel cars and 2-wheel motorcycles qualify.
But - a proposed rule change is open for comments right now to include 3-wheelers in the same category as 4-wheelers (so if it has at least a 10 kWh battery pack, it would get the full $2500 rebate!)
https://www.oregon.gov/deq/Regulations/r...e2019.aspx
Quote:DEQ is proposing to amend the zero-emission vehicle rebate program by changing the definitions in OAR 340-270-0030 for rebate-eligible light duty zero emission vehicles and plug in hybrid electric vehicles to include vehicles with at least three wheels. Currently light duty zero emission vehicles and plug in hybrid electric vehicles are defined as vehicles with at least four wheels. The proposed change would broaden the range of eligible vehicles to include those with three wheels.
I encourage anyone in Oregon to submit a comment in support, as well: https://www.oregon.gov/deq/Regulations/r...e2019.aspx (There are currently 5 comments - 4 in favor, and one opposed. Plus two "test comments".)

This past week, I've found myself responding negatively to all the trolling and negative comments on the posts. Its a great resource, so much good information, and reaches so many people... but... the trolls are getting to me. I'm not one to shoot my mouth off, but when someone makes it personal, I don't back down either. I found myself coming back here to find peace and cordial discussion.
Thanks to Kepesk for keeping this forum going.
