  FUV Beta Series
Posted by: Rickb - 08-25-2018, 10:10 PM - Forum: General FUV Discussion - Replies (18)

What’s your opinions of the required Center Headlight design on the Betas?  I would have preferred a less obtrusive, narrow LED Headlamp to better blend into the styling of the front end/grill assembly. Perhaps many designs were considered and this was the most feasible design and cost effective option.  EMV had a similar challenge in designing the required SOLO head light.

  August 2018 Newsletter
Posted by: Kepesk - 08-16-2018, 08:19 PM - Forum: In the News - Replies (4)

Full newsletter with pictures available here shortly:
https://www.arcimoto.com/newsletter/

Big week here at Arcimoto HQ as we just reported our second quarter
financials. Where to begin? How about here, with Mark’s quarterly
update. Watch our intrepid founder zip through the streets of Eugene,
sharing all the latest company highlights, from the completion of our
Signature Series to a tour of the Arcimoto Manufacturing Plant
featuring laser-cutting robots, to the rollout of our first Beta
vehicles. Did we mention the laser-cutting robots?

For even more Q2 action, you can check out the complete recording of
the earnings call here
https://app.greenrope.com/c1.pl?be5d35ad...a39ad73a51

In the coming weeks, we plan to open our first Arcimoto rental
location, here in Eugene, Oregon. Our goal is to create a complete
customer experience center, where you can kick the tires, take a test
drive, and rent an FUV for an hour, or a day. We believe the rental
model is going to be a huge part of what we do, as it allows more
people to experience the FUV as quickly as possible and as
inexpensively as possible – first in Eugene, then in tourist
destinations around the world.

Speaking of destinations, in July we visited our friends at HulaCar in
San Diego, who plan to open a second rental location in the coming
months. Hula is creating nothing less than an EV Oasis, an electric
hub where you will be able to plug in your vehicle (and rent it out!),
grab a cup of fair trade coffee, and relax while pondering a
not-too-distant future of autonomous electric FUVs chauffeuring the
good people of San Diego to Comic-Con, the beach, and back to
Comic-Con. We’ll have more updates on Hula soon, but the most
important takeaway here is we definitely brought the FUVs to
Comic-Con, because Comic-Con. And yes, we did challenge Batman to a
drag race in the Batmobile, but he just mumbled something about
“display only,” and trudged away. We’ll chalk that up as a forfeit,
Bruce.

We’re in the process of building Hula’s vehicles at this very moment.
Before the end of 2018, our goal is to complete the Beta Series,
complete production on the ensuing Pilot Series, and then roll into
full Retail Series production. If you pre-order an FUV today, we aim
to have it in your driveway late next year.

If you want your FUV even faster, come help us build them! We are
rapidly growing our team here at the AMP, with new hires joining us
from across the country to help power the EV revolution. We’re now up
to 76 teammates and counting. If you have a very particular set of
skills, skills you have acquired over a very long career, skills that
perhaps rhyme with “schmengineering,” check out our jobs page
https://app.greenrope.com/c1.pl?e24c47b9...27524a6329
We would love to have you.

Here’s a fun fact: 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of National
Lampoon’s Animal House, filmed right here in Eugene. If you’re in the
neighborhood this Saturday, come on down to Cottage Grove where
Arcimoto will be driving FUVs in the Animal House anniversary parade
before we attempt to set the Guiness World Record for world’s largest
toga party! If you don’t show up, you’re officially on double-secret
probation. Full event details here!
https://app.greenrope.com/c1.pl?d86d9b87...b542762629

And there you have it. Another quarter in the books, with a very
exciting ramp up to Retail Series production by the end of the year.
On behalf of Team Arcimoto, this is Jon Miller, your friendly
neighborhood communications specialist. We’ll see you on the road, and
don’t forget to recycle.

  Animal House Parade
Posted by: Kepesk - 08-16-2018, 05:21 AM - Forum: Events - No Replies

Arcimoto didn't offer a lot of context on this one, so here it is!

The movie Animal House is pretty famous in the Eugene area due to the fact that it was filmed here and in neighboring Cottage Grove. They play clips from the movie at football games, people come to see the buildings it was filmed at, and I even know the lady who owns the Deathmobile. It's kind of a thing around here.

Cottage Grove is celebrating the movie's 40th anniversary this year by attempting to reclaim the world record for largest toga party (they have held it before)! Arcimoto is participating in the parade, and it sounds like it will be an all-around good time.

This isn't really my type of shindig, but I don't have plans Saturday, so who knows?

I'm an avid hiker, and I've done this twice now, so I guess it's a thing.

This one is at Mill Creek Reservoir in the Oregon Cascades:

I'd love to have an Arcimoto. Could I use it as an every day commuter on the interstate? I'd likely have at least an hour commute every day soon. Hopefully they come around here soon, I'd love to test drive it. Looking to preorder in the next couple weeks.

  New User Registration Fixed

Good morning.

It has come to my attention that new user registration has not been working over the past week or so. This is due to a bug in a software update, and the issue has now been resolved.

New is we registration should work just fine now. Enjoy!
